Community of Practice for the Teaching and Learning of Mathematics (TLM CoP)
The Community of Practice for the Teaching and Learning of Mathematics (TLM CoP) is a collegial and advisory structure that forms part of the devolved governance structure of USAf. The CoP’s objectives are to promote and strengthen the teaching and learning of Mathematics in public universities in South Africa.
In accordance with the principles guiding USAf’s communities of practice, the TLM CoP provides an opportunity for academics, mathematics practitioners and other interested faculty members to collaborate, network, and share knowledge on issues of common interest or concern relating to Mathematics teaching and learning at South African public universities.
The TLM CoP Chairperson, Professor Pragashni Padayachee (right), also represents USAf as the Deputy Chairperson of Mathematical Sciences Strategic Alliance (MSSA) which is being driven by Professor Loyiso Nongxa, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Witwatersrand.
