A Thought Leadership Series

Universities South Africa (USAf), the representative body of all 26 public universities, is proud to introduce its new Thought Leadership Series—a dynamic public engagement platform designed to address the most pressing challenges facing the Higher Education sector.

This initiative aims to:

• Shape national conversations around critical higher education issues,
• Foster public and stakeholder understanding,
• Inspire innovative solutions through collaborative ideation, and
• Influence policy and legislative reform where appropriate.

Each session will feature a panel of experts offering diverse perspectives on key topics. Audience participation will be central to the process, with comments and insights contributing to robust, solution-oriented discussions. Through this inclusive dialogue, USAf hopes to influence perceptions on the higher education sector and enable an understanding that solutions to some of our most pressing challenges lie in forward-thinking decisions, responses and actions. These will not come exclusively from universities but also from prospective students, civil society, our partners in technical and vocational education and training, the private sector, and the government.
