TLM CoP Meeting: on 6 November 2025
On 6 November 2025, the Teaching and Learning of Mathematics Community of Practice (TLM CoP) met at the Wits School of Education for its final in-person engagement of the year. The meeting centred on strengthening student success in university mathematics, with a particular focus on supporting students beyond their first year.
The session brought together mathematics educators and regional partners to share updates on current practices, highlight emerging innovations and reflect on progress across the sector. Presentations and discussions covered key aspects of retention and progression, including teaching approaches, support mechanisms and collaborative strategies that improve student outcomes.
The programme further explored governance matters, keynote contributions and a panel discussion focused on sector challenges and opportunities.
