Summary of the impact:

 

  1. Access to potable water:
    Support of more than 2000 residents with sustainable water supply.
  2. Access to electricity:
    Support of more than 100 Gwakwani residents with solar lighting devices.
  3. Solar bakery:
    Twelve employment opportunities created. Supporting food security by providing locally baked bread to the greater Gwakwani area.
  4. Cold Storage facility:
    Supporting food safety to Gwakwani residents.
  5. Access to Internet:
    Access to the internet provided for > 250 Gwakwani and neighbouring residents.
    Access to the internet provided for > 470 learners and staff at Hanyani High School.
  6. Early childhood development (Gwakwani and Matatani creche):
    Provided Gwakwani creche facility supporting 20 pre-primary school children.
    Provided Matatani creche facility supporting 30 pre-primary school children. Positions for 3 registered early childhood development teachers created.
  7. Hanyani High School Learning Centre:
    Provided learning centre facility supporting > 470 learners and 20 staff members with access to internet, computers and a library.
  1. Health care support: 

Provided basic health care facility supporting basic health care used by the mobile health care practitioners.
