Join us in-person for USAf’s 3rd biennial Higher Education Conference taking place, in person, from 9 to 11 October 2024 at the CSIR Convention Centre. This is a three-day event designed to bring together education leaders, executives, scholars and business leaders to interrogate the topical theme of The Future of the University.

This conference builds on its two precursors, the USAf Higher Education Conference of 2019 focused on: Re-inventing South African Universities for the Future and its sequel, The Engaged University hosted in 2021 in collaboration with the Council on Higher Education.

Why attend?

  • Network, collaborate, and learn.
  • Engage rigorously on pertinent higher education issues.

Who should attend?

  • Educational leaders and executives, academics and researchers, government, teaching and learning directors, transformation managers, and administrative support services who want to equip themselves with the latest knowledge and information trends to lead successful universities of the future.
  • Research Directors and Managers, driving research, innovation and change at universities.
  • Teaching and learning specialists wanting to keep abreast of the latest Artificial Intelligence developments and debates to drive enhanced learning and teaching at universities.

Around 350 delegates are expected at the International Convention Centre of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in Pretoria. They will be representing the broad spectrum of university communities (executive leadership, academics, researchers and administrators) in South Africa, the African region and further afield. The premium event will also attract policymakers, science communities, civil society and industry – all relevant stakeholders fit to engage rigorously on pertinent higher education issues informed by the work of USAf’s strategic structures and programmes. The Conference is open to all.

Our speakers
